SlothBoogie Guestmix #264 - Diamond

22 year old Diamond has been on our radar since his beautiful EP 'You Like Jazz?' dropped on Salin records at the start of the year. Of course, the answer to that question here at SB is, yes. So it makes perfect sense for us to invite him into the guest mix fold to flex those youthful jazzy muscles. Diamond... "I feel like I've recently gone through an evolution in my musical tastes. Listening to a greater variety of things. I think this mix reflects that - it contains massively different genres/styles but (I hope) blended into one continuous sonic narrative. We start at like 70bpm and end up at around 135. My aim was to try and get people to find something new in here - hopefully, encourage some personal exploration into music that they may have otherwise not listened to. This isn't really a mix for the clubs, but one for a cosy evening of listening. Flecks of jazz, downtempo, ambient, hip-hop, house, UKG, techno...."
