Nathalie has been a staple of Berlin’s incomparable underground scene since 2014, playing the city’s joie de vivre open-air parties and peak time house sets at titans of the Berlin club circuit such as Salon zur Wilden Renate and Tresor. Hailing from Rotterdam, Nathalie’s Nightlife education was thorough and diverse. Her rave-forward pallet is unmistakable, commonly blending nostalgic breakbeats, golden-era vocal house, and blistering acid with the best hidden gems of the contemporary underground. "I recorded this mix at home with my Technics and my Xone:23 The idea behind the mix is... 100% Ian Pooley! I didn’t really have a clear idea of what I wanted to do for this mix. Then I got inspired from listening to a mix CD by Ian Pooley whilst cleaning my flat. Just before Ian left Berlin last year he generously gave me a bunch of his own records and CDs. I decided to limit myself and only play music by Ian Pooley that I have vinyl, mainly from the mid noughties era. To be honest, that limitation made recording this mix so much easier, as I knew what I wanted to do and it left little room for overthinking.
