X-Press 2 have been at the vanguard of British electronic music for three decades now. In that time this acclaimed DJ and production duo, alongside Ashley Beedle, have turned out many hits. The London duo share the same sense of musical discovery that first united them on the dance floors of Shoom and Spectrum and the Balearic playground of Ibiza way back when. Now they find themselves in the thick of the SB mix series. “We’d describe the mix as ‘Moving forwards with a nod to our roots’. As always with X-Press 2 the idea was to try and include music that’s new and exciting to us, played alongside some of our productions as well as dipping back into the past and adding some inspirational flavours to the pot. We like to spend some time thinking about the programming of a mix, working out some sort of flow so that the finished blend makes sense.”
