Pittsburgh Sludgelord's in Stalemate of Wills are releasing their new album Existence Denied, which puts a salty, rusty spin on New Orleans sludge, with a mix of old school hardcore and marinated in doom, they swung by on Episode 75 of the Distorted Dialogue Podcast. It really is a small world, as I knew they were local, but they are from old stomping grounds, and Stalemate of Wills tells how they have an upcoming show, in support of the upcoming album, Existence Denied. As they self identify, too sludgy for doom, too doomy for sludge, that is what is so good about this album. It appeals to more than just one type of sounds.
