Radiation Therapist, Robin Mixon RT (R) (T), joins hosts Marcelene Forbus (Rt, RPA) and Reece Burgoon (RT, RRA) to share her experiences throughout her radiology career.  Mrs. Mixon shares about attending the RT program and how Radiation Therapy was always where she wanted to be. Ms. Mixon shares about the two routes for attending Radiation Therapy programs and what the clinical aspect looked like for her.  She continues on to share what her role consists of and how working together as a team to achieve proper treatment for every single one of their patients.  Covid was something that everyone, and especially those of us in healthcare, were impacted by.  Mrs. Mixon explains how the pandemic looked and how they navigated through it all. Toward the end of the conversations she takes the time to elaborates on how the RA role impacts patient care, the department, and the communities we serve.  She shares her thoughts on MARCA and the importance of pulling together to see it pass through legislation. Mrs. Mixon, thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing so much of your story with us.  We loved learning about the roles of Radiation Therapist and how there are many faces in Radiation Therapy who are all involved in each patients treatment.
