Small cap funds see sharp run-up. Exit or stay put?

Small-cap funds have seen a sharp recovery in the last three months, going up between 15-20%. The bounce back has come after signs of weakness in small caps in the recent past. Between 31 March 2022 and 31 March 2023, the small-cap funds delivered returns of a little over 1% on average. So, should you stay put with your small-cap fund or exit?
