Small Fires, Far Stars · Issue 151

Ryan Aussie Smith and I excited to share updates from Authortunities Press and a status report on the current submissions for issue 153 as well as congratulate Pixie Bruner on the forthcoming publication of Poems to be Afraid Of, scheduled for release on July 22, 2026. You can read the official press release here. Then we share our thoughts one the stories and poems we are sharing this week: “Pony” by A.J. Parker, “The Ego Auditorium” by Kelly Murashige, “Deep Space” by Dean Schreck and “The Burial” by Frederick Stansfield. Hear why we chose them, why we love them and get some inside POV of what goes on in a selecting editor’s brain. Next week we will be wrapping up the June issue with “Department of Magical Irrelevance” by Micha Rogers, “Sooner or Later” by Kendall Evans, “Walk While You Have The Light” by Preston Ham, “In the Sun” by Josh Pearce and “Angel Star” by A J Dalton. That’s all for now. We will be back next week. Until then, thank you for reading Space & Time. This is a public episode.
