Small Wonder: S2E9: P-P-Paula

Hey Everyone. Angela Bowen here, the host of She's A Small Wonder: A Small Wonder Podcast. Today, I covered S2E9: P-P- Paula, which November 8, 1986. In this episode Jamie is assigned to tutor a girl who stutters. I really liked this episode. It felt like a breath of fresh air compared to last month's episode. I felt so bad for Paula and Jamie was just such a dick to her having to be her tutor and losing his patience with her because she's refused to read her report in class due to her stuttering after he worked with her on her book report of Tom Sawyer. I like how Vicki works with her on ways to help her cope with her stutter and she overcomes it. Joan decides she interested in taking up golf as a way to spend more time with Ted. She goes so far as to buy a golf outfit. I really wanted to see an outcome to this like she turns out to be a better golfer than Ted but at the last moment she chickens out. Good grief Joan! Did I mention the massive amounts of dry humping from Ted, coming up behind Joan in the kitchen and then again in the living when she's showing off her golf outfit and he's showing/correcting her golf stance just as Jamie walks in the door from school. I'll be honest I am dreading next month's episode S2E10: You Gotta have Heart, which aired on November 15, 1986. in this episode The Brindles involve the Lawson's in their squabble. GAH! UGH!! F%*K!! Expect LOTS of SCREAMING and F- Bombs! Have a great weekend everyone!
