Smart Analyzes Playoff Struggles | Georgia Bulldogs Football News

Coach Kirby Smart candidly dissected Georgia’s playoff woes at SEC Media Days, admitting their losses to other SEC teams in the College Football Playoff fell short of expectations — but he’s laser-focused on fixing what went wrong, not dwelling on the past. He compared his playoff analysis to his regular-season weekly evaluations, stressing relentless improvement. Smart also pointed to the unusually long break between the SEC Championship and the playoff as a potential disruptor — a gap no other sport has — while firmly rejecting it as an excuse. Despite a young roster, Georgia returns with key veterans like Raylen Wilson, Drew Bobo, and Gunner Stockton, ready to build on their 11-win season and SEC title.
