Episode 024   Richard Egli, Alacrity Foundation Victoria B.C. - Smart Cities Series Richard has spent 10 years involved in real estate development in various capacities: as a builder, project manager, and investor, across Western Canada and the USA Richard spearheaded the initiative behind opening Alacrity’s Shanghai office and now connects businesses with cross-border opportunity and investment. Currently Richard manages the strategic direction and operation of the Alacrity Foundation. He also works to advise multiple companies, contribute to investment decisions and works closely with portfolio companies to connect them to potential partners and investors. Over the past three years Richard has led the effort behind the Alacrity Investor Readiness Program, which has brought more than $220M CAD of investment into the BC technology scene.   Alacrity Canada facilitates success and economic growth in the Western Canadian technology sector by providing support and entrepreneurial mentorship to promising entrepreneurs, in addition to finding and connecting these individuals with the venture capital funding needed to develop thriving local tech companies.
