First, The plaintiff says the defendant is her mother, who she claims kicked her out when she turned 18. She’s suing her for emotional distress and unreturned property. The defendant says she doesn’t approve of her daughter’s boyfriend, who she claims is physically and emotionally abusive. She denies owing anything.   Then, The plaintiff and defendant were married for several years. The plaintiff says the defendant became an opioid addict and it ruined their marriage. He says he came home one day and many of his belongings were gone. When he called police, he was served with a protective order. He’s suing for emotional distress. The driver was the defendant’s 13-year-old grandson driving the defendant’s car, so she’s suing for property damage.
