In the Wednesday Lunch at Lowy on 13 May, Michael G. Smith AO, Executive Director of the Asia Pacific Civil-Military Centre of Excellence, joined us to discuss the way ahead for the Centre, which was set up in 2008 by the Rudd Government to develop 'national civil-military capabilities to prevent, prepare for and respond more effectively to conflicts and disasters overseas'.
