Joff Wild is a journalist who has specialised in covering IP since 1992. During that time, he has written for a number of IP-focused titles, as well as publications such as The Times, The Financial Times and The Wall Street Journal. He founded IAM in 2003 and was its first editor, before becoming editor-in-chief of the IP and Data Division of Globe Business Publishing and then Law Business Research, a post he held until the end of 2022. Now retired from full-time work, he writes a weekly column for IAM and does IP-related consultancy work. This interview was done by Valeria Silva, member of 4iP Council Advisory Committee, and affiliate professor at ESCP Business School in Paris, with a legal and public policy background on intellectual property and innovation, competition policy, international trade and corporate social responsibility. They talked about IP policies, new technologies and the importance of SMEs in the European economy.
