This episode is derived from the book of Matthew 26:70-72. After Jesus is arrested in the garden of Gethsemani, and taken before the Sanhedrin, all his disciples fled for their lives and scattered. Except Peter, who followed him at a distance. Peter, who had been one of the strongest disciples folded and denied Christ thrice. This story packs a valuable lesson for us who are Christ's followers.h How closely are we following Christ.
