Sn 5 Ep 11: A Lamp Under the Bed
In Mat 5:14-16, Christ talks about a city on a hill, whose light can be seen by everyone. He also likens us to a lamp that is put on a lampstand to light the whole room instead of being hidden under the bed. He says nobody lights a lamp to place it under the bed. Where is your lamp? Is your lamp hidden under the bed where it cannot shade light to a room full of unbelievers who are in dire need of light. In this episode I implore you and me to truly shine in private as well as in public. It is of no use to be a Christian in private, while denying Christ in public through our actions. Sn 5 Ep 10: A Faithful God and a Rebellious Israel
Have you ever thought about why Israel did not manage to continuously obey the Lord and walk in His ways, even though God did everything He could including manifesting His power in miracles that have never been seen before? In Psalms 78, David recounts the failure of his ancestors and how they kept rebelling against God even when He showed the care every other time. And here is a lesson to us: God remains faithful even when we leave him to chase after idols. There is nothing our God cannot do for us, yet we always leave him to unite ourselves in idols and the ways of the world. But His hand is ever extended to us, pleading that we should come back and find rest. If you have enjoyed this episode, don't forget to share with friends and family. Sn 5 Ep 9: This year. Serve the Lord!
In Joshua 24:14-15, the servant of the Lord is giving his final instructions to the children of Israel and he charges them with the choice to either serve other gods which they served beyond the Jordan, or to serve the true God. You and I needs to make a decision this year to serve the Lord in spirit and truth. Whatever prevented you from serving God faithfully last year, put it aside this year and serve the Lord. Paul states that nothing should be able to separate us from the love of God. I say that this year, nothing should make you not serve the Lord. Whatever sin you have been battling, give it to Christ this year and be free to serve God. May God bless you abundantly and may He give you the courage to make a decision for Him. You will notice the difference. Don't forget to follow me on Spotify and to rate five stars on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. Until we meet again next week, keep up for Christ.

Sn 5 Ep 8: Waiting on God
In the book of 1 Samuel 13, the Bible teches us patience and waiting on God's word even when everything around is failing. Samuel tells the story of when Saul is faced with a decisive battle against a Philistine army that is described as, "numerous as sand on the seashore." Meanwhile Saul had selected for himself 3000 men, and by the time he is ready to battle, only 600 we're left with him. The Bible says, "When the Israelites saw that their situation was critical and that their army was hard pressed, they hid in caves and thickets, among the rocks, and in pits and cisterns. " All this time, Saul was waiting for then prophet Samuel to come and offer sacrifices to God. When Saul had waited for 7 days without the sign of Samuel, he decided, with full knowledge of consequences to offer burn offerings, something that was a preserve of priests. I have learned that God can keep us waiting to test us. And most of us fail because of hastiness. Jacob went through so much pain and anguish because he could not wait for God's timing, even though the promise had been made and the Messiah would come from his lineage. He still felt that perhaps God had meant the first born which he was not. The Bible says that Hannah prayed for a child "year after year. "This year I pray that whatever you are going through, whatever you are waiting for, that you may have patience and wait on God. May the Lord bless you abundantly and may He give you the desire of your heart. But even if He delays, don't rush. In Jesus name. Don't forget to follow me on Spotify and rate five stars. Sn 5 Ep 7: Two Testimonies
In Psalms 9:1-4, David is telling us to praise the Lord and tell of His wonderful works. I want to add that you and I need to form the habit of always telling the wonderful works that God has wrought to us. There's no powerful sermon like a testimony. God is doing wonderful things for His people daily, but the negative works of Satan and his hosts crowds out the good things happening around us to the point where it looks like God does not care or He does not exist. We see the manifestation of evil everywhere, but there are also manifestations of the Holy Spirit and the works of God that we can help show the world. Tell your story. Someone needs to hear it.Do not forget to. Share. Follow. Rate. Stay standing for Christ.

S5: Ep 6: The Peril of Self-sufficiency
In this episode I talk about the peril of self-sufficiency. In the book of Deuteronomy 8:11-14, Moses warns the Israelites about forgetting the Lord by not keeping His commandments once they attained wealth and prosperity. The books of Chronicles and Kings also record about the King Uzziah who started so well with God, but once he became prosperous and his kingdom was firmly established, forgot the Lord and pride overtook him. David almost fell to the same trap. Paul cautions Timothy that godliness with contentment is great gain. Do you ever pray and ask God for direction even the most mundane tasks? Do you rely on God for strength when facing even the tiniest of challenges? Proverbs3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and he shall direct your paths."Let this be your matra in life.Don't forget to share with friends and family.

Sn 5 Ep 5: Witnessing to friends and family
In this episode, I talk about witnessing Christ to friends and family. Are you going to heaven alone or is the love for your friends and family strong enough to have you preaching to them? In the book of 1 Peter 2:11, Peter tells the believers to have their conduct honorable among the Gentiles/ unbelievers. Paul also speaks to Timothy about the importance of being an example to believers through his conduct, speech, love, faith, purity etc. It means that it's not really what we say, but what we do which will win over our family and friends to Christ. How are you witnessing to those who know you inside and out?

Sn 5 Ep 4: What's the Secret to Long Life?
The world is obsessed with finding the secret of longevity everywhere else except in God. Since in the wisdom of God, the world in it's own wisdom did not know God, it has pleased God through the foolishness of what is being preached, to save those who believe. Long life will not be found in finding the cure for cancers, HIV/Aids or chronic diseases. It is not found in modern vaccines or accident free roads. It is only found in Christ. Job 28:28 describes that wisdom is the fear of God. And proverbs 3:16 describes that wisdom holds long life in her right hand.So you are now among the few people on earth who understands the secret to long life. Amen.Share. Follow. Be blessed.

Sn 5 Ep 3: Ephraim's Apostasy vs. God's Mercy
In this episode I talk about God's judgement and mercy as illustrated in the book of Hosea, especially chapter 11. Despite the judgement that God pronounced over the house of Israel, He still speaks hope and restoration over the house of Israel. The theme of juxtaposition of mercy and judgement is repeated in several books of the Bible including Jeremiah and Ezekiel. This points us to the cross. Salvation is by grace through faith and not by works.Texts:Hosea 11Lamentations 3:23Genesis 48; 1-20Follow me on Spotify Share with a friend.

Sn 5 Ep 2: Mary Magdalene
In this episode, I talk about the story of Mary Magdalene in the book of Luke 6:36-44. Jesus was invited to a Pharisee's house, where Mary came and showed care and reverence for Christ, anointing his feet with a jar of alabaster oil and wiping his feet with her hair and tears in repentance. Luke describes her as "the sinful" woman. Mary henceforth became one of the most loyal followers of Jesus, the first to visit his tomb on resurrection day. Truly, the one who was forgiven much loved the more. Be careful that you are not among the band of Pharisees who looked onto others with judgment because to them, they had the knowledge of God.

Sn 5 Ep 1: Return to Bethel
Bethel means God's house. It is the spot in which Jacob saw the vision of the ladder from heaven. This episode talks about the return of Jacob to Bethel where he has first met God and where he had made a vow to Him. This story is found in Genesis 35. Jacob then instructs his family to put away foreign gods, meaning idols whom they had in their tents, to clense themselves to be ready to worship the true God in Bethel. And it also in Bethel where God changed Jacob's name to Israel. An important lesson here: Come to Christ. Put away all the idols you have in your possession and in your life and purify yourself. God is ready to transform your life. Be sure to share this episode and follow me on Spotify.

Sn 4 Ep 22: Handing in your Harvest ft the Late Dr. Abraham Ruto.
I lost a friend who was laid to rest 12th June. His death came as a shock to many because here was a healthy man, full of promise with a young family suddenly collapsing and dying. As usual, death is a moment for deep reflection, about the meaning of life, the purpose of life and our task here on earth. One of the most important questions to ask is what are you or me taking to the grave? What will your harvest be? When you are called in to hand in your harvest, what are you going to hand in? Sn 4 Ep 21: Are you a good-enough Christian?
in this episode, I share from the book of Revelation 3:14-21, where Christ talks to the Laodicean church. He rebukes them for being lukewarm in warm, not hot nor cold for Christ. Is your walk with Christ lukewarm? Are you hot or cold for God? What does it even mean to be hot or cold for God? Christ says that whoever does not sow with Him scatters abroad. It is something that disturbs me so much, to know that one day Christ may deny me because I have no wedding garment. Make the steps to Christ know for sure whether you are hot or cold for him. He says only then can he know what to do with you. May you be blessed this week. Don't forget to share, follow and keep working on your faith.

Sn 4 Ep 20: The Abomination of Jeroboam
In this episode, I reflect on the story of Jeroboam, the fourth King of Israel. Jeroboam was a product of grace, very much like a lot of us. The kingdom was torn away from the hands of David's house and given to him, a mere servant but what he did with it was less than admirable. Thisa story is found in 1 Kings 11, 12, 14. God desires only one thing from us: obedience. And it does not come with nothing. It comes with all the blessings we could ever want. Ask yourself one question: How would my life be if I was in total obedience of God's word? Be blessed. FOLLOWM THIS PODCAST ON SPOTIFY. RATE 5⭐s on Apple Podcasts and don't forget to share. Sn 4 Ep 19: Do not go back down to Egypt
This episode comes from the books of Gen 27:1-6, Jeremiah 42: 1-22, and Jeremiah 17:5-9. Sometimes when we're experiencing difficulties and trials as believers, we desire to go back into the world where there seems to be ease. We desire to live as the world lives andtoc conform with our former lusts to gain the things of the world. The message today encourages us to remain in God and trust in Him for Providence and protection. Share, follow and may you be blessed.

Sn 4 Ep 18: Are you still waiting for Christ's Return?
We look at the book of Luke 12:35-48. Christ tells of the parable of servants who have been left to take care of a household in the absence of their master. Christ contrasts faithful servants who keep watch, waiting for their master to return, whatever hour it is, and a reckless Steward who upon seeing that their master has delayed coming, starts to treat male and female servants with contempt. Jesus says in Revelation 22:12-14, that he is coming quickly, and his reward is with him to give to those who have overcome. It has been 2000 years since Christ first came in the flesh. Are you still waiting for his return? I pray that you may continue waiting for the master, whatever hour he comes.i If this episode has blessed you, don't forget to share it with your friends and neighbors.

Sn 4 Ep 17: Are you following Christ at a distance?
This episode is derived from the book of Matthew 26:70-72. After Jesus is arrested in the garden of Gethsemani, and taken before the Sanhedrin, all his disciples fled for their lives and scattered. Except Peter, who followed him at a distance. Peter, who had been one of the strongest disciples folded and denied Christ thrice. This story packs a valuable lesson for us who are Christ's followers.h How closely are we following Christ. Are we merely following him at a distance and we don't really want to be identified with him? Listen in and leave your comments. Sn 4 Ep 16: When God Remembers
In this episode, we turn to the prayer of Hezekiah in 2 Kings 18:2-3. Hezekiah became sick and prophet Isaiah was sent to him to let him know that he would not recover from his illness. In his prayer, he asks God to remember how he has walked before Him and how he has served Him. Hezekiah had a recordofg works. James 2:17 says that faith without works is lifeless and has no purpose. Our faith goes in tandem with our works. And Paul tells the church in Corinth that their works shall be tested by fire and only what isnl built on the foundation of Christ will endure (1 Corinthians 3:13). Malachi 3:16 talks about the book of remembrance. What deeds of yours do you want to be written there?

Sn 4 Ep 12: Sometimes God will Do it Himself
In this mini episode, I reflect on the power of God to save through His own strength and power and not through human effort. The story comes from 2 Kings 6: 24-33 & 2 Kings 7:1-20. I also recount the plight of the Israelites on the banks of the red sea and God's mighty hands to save. Your situation might seem so dire, but God never fails. Sn 4 Ep 9: King David: A Lesson in Sanctification
In this episode, we draw from the life of King David. We start from the time he was anointed to be king in place of King Saul, to when he ascended to the throne. King David typifies the life of every Christian, in that he ad episodes of ups and downs. Actually, what most people associate with King David is his great sin with Bathsheba. However, King David picked himself up from this event and repented. In Mathew 1:1, Jesus is described as the Son of David. David is our big brother in faith, and his walk with God offers us a good example of what we ought to become as Christians. I hope this episode blesses you as it blessed me while recording it. Sn 4 Ep 7: What's Your Capacity for Suffering?😁
In this episode, I infer lessons from the book of Job. I pick some of the important points from Job's experience to reflect on what kind of attitude we should have when we are faced with trials. Do we blame God when we can't find answers? Why does Satan always get off the hook? We usually do not understand God's ways and how He works and why some of the things that happen to us, happen that way. As Paul says to the Ephesians, we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities in the air. The bible verses for today's episode came from the book of Job 1: 1- 22 and Job 2: 1- 13. Sn 4 Ep 6: Lessons from Hazael King of Aram
In this episode, I talk about how God judges the inward intentions of the heart and how He is able to see the most hidden parts of our hearts, way before they are even revealed to us. I draw upon the experiences of David, Joseph, Rehab, Hazael, Daniel, Esau and Jacob. The main text comes from the book of Psalms 139:1 -17, where King David writes of how God looks into the innermost parts of the heart to reveal intentions. Sn 4 Ep 5: Who was Jesus and who were His Disciples
In this long episode, I give an expensive context to the history of salvation, why it has to happen and how it happened. Then I introduce Jesus and why His ministry was popular with the everyday people but which vexed the rulers and the Pharisees so much. I then finalize with the story of the disciples why they believed in Jesus at first. I attempt to get into the minds of the disciples and try to uncover their motivation before the death and resurrection of Jesus and how their zeal and hearts changed after the ascension. This is a great story to listen to when you are relaxed and quiet in a meditative mood. Don't forget to share with neighbors because that's how we change the world. Sn 4 Ep 4: Will your Works Survive the Refiner's Fire?
The bible talks, in several passages about the refiner's fire. At the end of time when we shall be called forth from the grave to receive the rewards that has been kept for us, what shall your reward be? Christ says in the parable of the talents that everyone shall receive the rewards according to the works that they did here on earth. Have you ever wondered whether the works you are doing will go with you beyond the grave? Are your works gold, silver, bronze, wood, straw, or hay? Sn 4 Ep 3: Do not harden your hearts
This episode is based on Exodus 7-11. God had send Moses and Aaron to the house of Pharaoh to ask him to let the children of Israel go. With His mighty power, God would have easily killed the first borns the first time Pharaoh resisted and saved the Egyptians the agony of the 8 plagues. But this story demonstrates God's patience even with sinners. Pharaoh was given 9 chances to repent but with each forgiveness, he only hardened his heart and grew obstinate. There's a lot of lessons to draw from this story. Paul says that we need to watch how we stand, lest we harbor unbelief in our hearts and miss heaven. Thank you for listening and may God bless you. Sn 4 Ep 2: The Days of Elijah
In this episode, I go back to the book of 1 Kings 17, to talk about the faith of Elijah. Elijah declared a three year drought in Israel, as a punishment for the blatant idolatry that was practiced by the people. In the final duel between the prophets of Baal and Elijah, God is glorified by fire coming down to burn up the sacrifice that was presented by Elijah. Elijah then prays for rain and rain falls. But in chapter 18, when Jezebel threatened the life of Elijah, he chose to run away into the wilderness instead of praying to God and waiting for His word. God asks Elijah one important question that He asks each of us, "What are you doing here?" Look around you, where you are living, the things you re doing and ask yourself, "What am I doing here?" Sn 3 Ep 15: His Ways are Higher than Our Ways
I have sometimes struggled to understand how God operates. But is it really possible to fully understand God? No it is not. In Isaiah 55:8-11, He says his ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts higher than our thoughts. We can't understand why God allowed Lucifer to live on. We don't understand why God would let children be killed and not intervene, we don't even understand when God says in His commandments not to do certain things. Instead of trying to understand first before we obey or acknowledge his works, we should instead have faith in his supreme authority. It's called unwavering faith. Be blessed.

Sn 3 Ep 13: Rebuild your broken walls
In this episode, I study the story of Nehemiah in the book of Nehemiah 4. Nehemiah returned to Jerusalem with the third wave of returnees, decades after the temple was built. The walls had not been rebuilt, and the gates lay in ruins. God stirred up the heart of Nehemiah to lead the work of rebuilding the walls, and something that had taken years to do, only took 52 days. We need to fortify ourselves from the enemy's attacks and for this, we need to rebuild our walls and mend the parts which are broken. King Asa started so well. He trusted in the deliverance of God. He pulled down the altars for idol worship. He rallied the people of Judah to trust in the Lord and during his time, Judah enjoyed peace for a period of 35 years. Until materialism got the better of Asa and he shifted his trust to material possessions, earthly kings and physicians. Asa died a man who did not acknowledge God. Sn 3 Ep 7: A Dark Spirit of Delusions is Going Around the Nations
The Shakahola Massacre that happened in Kenya has so far claimed over 100 people according to official reports. Unofficial reports say that over 300 people have been exhumed, buried in mass graves. This is nothing new but the frequency of such news is on the rise. Mass shootings, deaths, accidents, gender issues, violence, sexual immorality and idolatry are rife. The world is toteering on the brink of lawlessness and wickedness. There is a dark spirit of strong delusion hovering over nations which we need to be conscious of. Jesus predicted this would happen in Matt 24:24. Isaiah 8:20 is the only test to discern truth from error. To the law and to the testimony, if they do not speak according to these words, it is because there is no light in them. May we be prayerful and watch. Sn 3 Ep 6: Let God Have His Way
There is God's mercy demonstrated in a particular episode in the wars between Israel and Philistia. Saul was facing the Philistia in battle, with a demoralized army and mass desertations. Only him and his son Jonathan had swords out of all the army of Israel. Samuel had come to Gibeah and found that Saul had offered an unlawful sacrifice. After pronouncing judgement on Saul, Samuel left, leaving Saul with an army of 600 men facing Philistia. On this day, the Lord used the faith of Jonathan to defeat Philistia using only one sword. It is hard to imagine all the ways through which the Lord can help us. This story teaches us one thing: Let God Have His Way with you. He knows how to rescue you from the pit in his own way. The verses: 1 Samuel 13:16-23, 14:1-23. Don't forget to share with your friends and family and subscribe and follow on Spotify. Be blessed

Sn 3 Ep 5: Are you Blessed or You're Materialistic?
What is enough for you? Are you feeling contented with what you have so far? There's always a thin line between ambition and idolatry. Idolatry is sin, but building wealth for your benefit and the benefit of your friends, those in need and the Kingdom is a blessing and good stewardship. Are you blessed or you are laboring to store wealth which will never help you you? Jesus says that it profits nothing to gain the whole world and then lose our soul in the process. I hope God gives us the discernment to know the difference between serving God and serving Mammon. Do not forget to follow this podcast on Spotify and to subscribe on Google Podcasts. Sn 3 Ep 4: Why You Need to Pray Like Never Before
The forces of evil are assembling, and whereas before they were confined to the streets and outside of our walls, today agents of Satan have access to us, to influence and to corrupt us and our families through our phones, radios and televisions. The Devil has too much of our attention and he is using it to push subliminal messages to us about all manner of wickedness. We therefore need to pray like never before. If you have a family, friends, relatives and siblings, then you need to go before the Lord in prayer and really intercede for your people. The times in which we live in are not normal and we face some very serious opposition. I pray for you too that you may stand, and really stand. Do not forget to follow on Spotify and subscribe on Google Podcasts. Stay true and fruitful for Jesus until we meet again.

Sn 3 Ep 3: When the Foundations Are Destroyed
David, the Lord's servant in Psalms 11, asked himself, if the foundations be destroyed, what are the righteous to do? When the foundation of marriage, of sex, of parenting, of brotherly love be destroyed, what can you and me do? First, we need to realize that God still sits on the throne and He still monitors the hearts of men. Paul says in the book of Ephesians 5:16, that we should redeem the times because the days in which we live in are not ordinary. We are inching closer to midnight and there's a difference between midnight and noon. At noon, you can see clearly and things are easier. But towards midnight, you need light to see. Let us hold on to the light that is Christ. And do not be afraid of the devil, because the Lord promises in Psalms 23 that He is the good shepherd. Sn 3 Ep 2: He Makes Known the End from the Beginning
Ever heard that God works in mysterious ways? Yes, He does. He says in Isaiah that as high as the heavens are, so are his ways. Look back at your life and count those events which seemed uneventful at the time, but which turned out to be stepping stones for blessings later. Meeting your spouse, meeting strangers who turned into friends or colleagues or business partners, meeting kind strangers who helped you out in ways family could not. In short, God saw the end from the beginning and put a plan to save the day. Praise the Lord! IF YOU LOVED THIS EPISODE, BE SURE TO FOLLOW IT ON SPOTIFY ANS RATE IT 5 STARS ON APPLE PODCASTS. Sn 3 Ep 1: Behold What Manner of Love
In this episode, the first one of season three, I talk about love and what it means to really love one another. The world is yearning for love, and not the kind of love that is sang in music videos. The world is yearning for true love. I hope that the Holy Spirit may bear the fruit of love in you. I wish you love this year. Amen.

Sn 2 Ep 20: An Unshakable Faith
Do you have an unshakable faith in God? In the book of Numbers 14: 11-33, the Bible records the story of the children of Israel, refusing to cross into Canaan and the ensuing displeasure of God at their lack of faith. This was the tenth time that they had doubted God and God had had it with this generation. Similarly, in life, God has always got our back in some of the toughest situations, but for some of us, with each passing trial, we tend to yell and kick and pout and cry out to God just as the Israelites did. Take God at His word this year and hear when He says to Joshua, "Be still and know that I am God." Have a blessed year.

Sn 2 Ep 19: Running the race with certainty
What race are you running? Are you running towards the cross or away from Christ? Have you ever sat down to reflect your walk with God? Can you look back and trace the graph of your walk with God? How is it? Are you feeling overtaken by the world and the cares of this world, enough to steal away your time with God? You carry the name of God, and that name is powerful. Keep your focus on Christ, dear believer. Stop listening to the nice voice of the world calling you to get off your race. I hope you run the race with certainty, and punch with purpose.
