Our very Special Guest today is Brian (Bt) "Gibbs" Our topic today - Spatial Audio!He is Co-Owner & Principal at Skyline Entertainment & Publishing (Tool Shed Studios) in Silicon Valley. Working tirelessly at the sound consul and in the recording studio as a a record producer, mixing engineer & immersive mixing engineer, Brian produced an incredible 30+ record credits alone in 2020!After getting his Bachelor of Music degree from Berkeley College of Music (Jazz Composition) Brian got right to work on many records for Bay Area artists including Los Tigres del Norte's "Realidades" which was a 2015 GRAMMY Award for Best Regional Mexican Album, including Tejano) and to jazz artist Christopher Main country star Alison Turner and most recently to alternative music artist, Hana Bryanne.Brian is also a 10 yr+ Recording Academy voting member on the Board of Governors for the San Francisco chapter, serving as the Chair for the SF Chapter Producers & Engineers Wing. In action for advocacy on behalf of creators, Gibbs is also a 3-year District Advocacy Captain (CA-19). In addition to presenting at multiple AES conferences on immersive mixing techniques, he has also presented multiple times at Music Expo (SF & Boston) Berklee College of Music, Cal State University campuses, Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Webster University and other audio engineering educational institutions.
