Snakes: Misunderstood Heroes of Louisiana

Kevin Hood of the Snake Life Foundation joined the show to debunk myths about snakes and promote coexistence. He explained that Louisiana has 48 snake species, but only seven are venomous—and even those play vital roles in medicine and the ecosystem. Through education programs, social media IDs, and community outreach, Hood’s mission is to replace fear with understanding and respect for these often-misjudged creatures.
