SNE - 262 - Workout Wednesday: Injuries as the Rate Limiting Factor
from Simply Not Easy · host Nick Davis
What's the hold up!? Well in chemistry and physiology (which is basically ccool applied functional chemistry) the hold up is literally called the Rate Limiting Factor. If we had more of it, we could do more; but we don't, so we don't. This is often due to speed of a reaction or lack of abundance of a substrate (physical material). Well now we're talking about injuries that we have as our own rate limiting factor. This is understandable. Our body has a protective mechanism. To truly heal and improve optimally we need to understand the concept of a rate limiting factor in regard to physical injuries, because unfortunently we usually do a really crappy job at that.
