Spring teased us, but now it’s snowing again in Michigan—ugh, we’re over it! Still, we’ll take a dusting over the flooding chaos our friends in Memphis, Ohio, and Kentucky are dealing with. Sending love to all our underwater pals!Today’s chat is a wild mix—think downed trees, power outages, and linemen working 72-hour shifts to save the day (shoutout to Brett’s bro!). We’re spilling tea (or coffee?) about the Mackinac Bridge shutting down—yep, that 5-mile beast is terrifying even on a good day. Ever driven over those grates and peeked at the water below? Nope, hard pass! Britain’s got morbid Lake Superior facts (bodies preserved down there—yikes!), and we’re swapping stories about kayakers, shipwrecks, and… Mountain Dew conspiracy theories? Yep, Purple Thunder’s out—brace for tornadoes, folks! 🌪️On the coffee front, bad news: prices are up. Brazil’s drought, crazy demand from China, and tariffs have us at 50-year highs—our futures ran out, and we held off as long as we could. Subscription boxes jump to $25 after April 16th (prepaids, you’re locked in!), but we’re still cheaper than the big dogs like Bones Coffee. We hate it, but quality’s non-negotiable—no yucky beans here! Everything’s roasted and packed in Flushing, Michigan, with as much American-made stuff as we can swing.
