SNV Special Report: Revolutionaries And Elections

from Socialist News and Views · host Nick Shillingford

Special Report (Recorded 11/9/2022) and (Uploaded 11/10/2022) With no red wave or blue wave to speak of and more eligible voters sitting out the election than voting for either capitalist party it is clear it is way past time to build a party that truly represents working people and can be controlled by them and in their class interest. But it wont be enough to just build such a party. And it won't be enough to seize power through revolution. "The communist revolution cannot be realized with a single blow" says Gramsci. We must build power inside and outside of the parliamentary system. In this special we cover what we know so far of the overall outcome of this particular bourgeois election, the need to build a working-clas party and hear some thoughts from Italian Marxist Antonio Gramsci in "Revolutionaries and Elections" from 1919.
