So once again, Iran messed around again and find out

from The Charlie James Show Podcast

In the second segment of the first hour on April 20th, Charlie James doubled down on the theme of "finding out," shifting focus from domestic legal battles to the escalating naval showdown in the Middle East. He broke down the U.S. Navy’s seizure of the Iranian vessel Touska, framing it as a direct consequence of Tehran’s attempt to levy illegal tolls in the Strait of Hormuz. James argued that after weeks of Iranian posturing, the swift American response served as a definitive "reality check" for the regime. He tied this back to the broader success of Operation Epic Fury, noting that Iran’s diminished military capacity has left them with few options other than desperate "protection rackets" that are now being systematically dismantled by U.S. forces.

00:00 So once again, over the weekend, Iran messed around and found out there was a 900 foot cargo ship named the Tosca, the Tosca, whatever it is, however they pronounce it. um This thing was headed, it was breaking the blockade by the United States Navy, continued sailing. We warned that vessel. 00:29 For six hours, we warned that vessel. Evacuate your engine room. Well, was the initial warning. Well, I turned around, this is a blockade. You don't need to be here, go the other way. What have you lost your minds? What are you people crazy? What are you doing here? Get out of here, you knuckleheads. And then it came time to actually take action. And then we warned them. 00:59 We said, evacuate your engine room. You are about to be disabled. And that's exactly what they did. And then it got kind of cool because you had these bursts coming from one of our warships. And then you had a bunch of special forces. They jumped on helicopters and they went over on the Tosca and they rappelled down. I don't know if you've ever been rappelling, but it's a lot of fun. They rappelled down onto the deck of the ship and they took it over. 01:30 They were warned, right? Now, Iran is claiming that that is piracy. Now, if there's anybody that knows about piracy, it's Iran. They're very good at it. And I do remember under Joe Biden, when Iran captured one of our ships and humiliated our Navy members, 01:56 and posted videos on it worldwide. We all remember that. Did we call that piracy? So now Rand's very upset about that. So to President Trump, uh over on Truth Social said, today, an Iranian flagged cargo ship named Tosca, nearly 900 feet long and weighing almost as much as an aircraft carrier, tried to get past our naval blockade and it did not go well for them. The US Navy guided missile destroyer USS Spruance 02:24 intercepted the Tosca in the Gulf of Oman and gave them fair warning to stop. The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our Navy ships stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engine room. Right now, United States Marines have custody of the vessel. The Tosca is under U.S. Treasury sanctions because of their prior history of illegal activity. We have full custody of the ship and ah are seeing what's on board President Donald J. Trump. And again, 02:53 This wasn't just a random ship. This was a ship that was actually sanctioned by the United States because of their history of illegal activity. We warned them. I guess maybe that short, what seemed like long four years under Joe Biden, the world just forgot about our military. 03:22 I guess when you get, you know, men in dresses running the place, people don't take you very seriously. But after what happened in Venezuela, the way we took care of business there, after what happened the first time we bombed Iran, and nobody even knew about it, 03:41 And then going into now, I think a lot of people around the globe are starting to say, Hey, you know what? This United States military, isn't a bunch of guys in skirts anymore. These people are serious and that's what they need. They need to take us serious. Seriously, I should say. I don't have a problem. And let me tell you, since we're being accused of piracy, I think it would be a good time. 04:09 all of our ships in the Mediterranean to start flying the Jolly Roger. Don't you? The big skull and crossbones just right there off the bow of the ship. And we are not to start talking like this. That would be wonderful, wouldn't it? Yes. We're pirates. all of the pirates are parrots on their shoulders. You know, things like that. So piracy. The world's number one. 04:38 state sponsor of terror is accusing us of piracy. Boy, that is rich. It really is. 04:50 I do not believe, and I guess maybe I've never believed that there is going to be a peaceful outcome to this conflict. just, mean, you hope, you hope there will be, you want these people to come to their senses, to start listening to ...
