So You Want to Be a Slave? (Part 1)

In the truest sense, you have no rights. God owns you. He can do with you whatever He wants, whenever He wants, for however long He wants. When trials come, it will not be up to you to “give up your rights” to happiness so you can patiently endure as a hero whatever He has allowed to come your way. You insult Him when you do that. As His servant, you should awaken every day, acknowledge His total ownership of your life, and report for duty. If it’s a day of blessing and victories, praise Him. If it’s a day of storms and tribulation, praise Him. But don’t insult Him by “giving Him the right to do” what is already His right to do. Just quietly praise Him. He’s the Master.
