What this episode covers

Her life changed on August 18th, 2012. The catalyst? It wasn't waking up in the hospital or in strange men's beds after a night of partying. It wasn't even going to jail. The catalyst that made Courtney Andersen chose sobriety follows an evening of ripping shots and, a regular occurrence, blacking out. On this night, she threatened her then-boyfriend, now-husband, and lost their cat. That morning, the 18th of August, 2012, she awoke hungover but ready for change.
