Sober October Recap

from Warden's Wisdom Hosted by Jimmy Warden

In this episode, I got the chance to sit down with Lindsay Demers and Jaren Jeffcoat to discuss our Sober October journey. I met both Lindsay and Jaren during my time at Norwich University. Lindsay graduated from Norwich with a degree in Communications and she also spent a chunk of her time at Norwich writing for the school newspaper, The Guidon. Jaren graduated with two degrees, one in English and another in Communications. He was also a member of the men's basketball team, a 1,000+ point scorer, and team captain. In our conversation, we discuss the trials and tribulations that we faced, lessons that we learned, and lessons that we hope others can also learn to ignite change within themselves. If you are a person that is feeling a need to be inspired by everyday people, look no further than this podcast!

Tao Te Ching by Laozi (Author), Stephen Mitchell (Full Audiobook) Laozi Lao-tzu's Tao Te Ching, or Book of the Way, is the classic manual on the art of living, and one of the wonders of the world. In eighty-one brief chapters, the Tao Te Ching looks at the basic predicament of being alive and gives advice that imparts balance and perspective, a serene and generous spirit. This book is about wisdom in action. It teaches how to work for the good with the effortless skill that comes from being in accord with the Tao (the basic principle of the universe) and applies equally to good government and sexual love; to child rearing, business, and ecology. Stephen Mitchell's bestselling version has been widely acclaimed as a gift to contemporary culture. Whole Faith Marcus & Jessa Myer Welcome to The Whole Faith Podcast, where we go deep into the things of God. We're your hosts, Marcus and Jessa Myer - a husband-and-wife team passionate about pursuing and telling the Truth. The more we study Scripture, the more we experience the ever-growing joy and pleasure found only in Jesus. We’ve been doing ministry together for the past 15 years, and one thing we’ve seen over and over again is that so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are desperately hungry for a deeper teaching of God’s Word. In each episode, we explore theology, doctrine, and practical wisdom that every believer should have the confidence to pursue. Join us as we uncover essential truths from Scripture and tackle difficult, sometimes controversial questions to provide you with biblical answers. Where the Enemy wants to keep the Church in a place of shallow faith and theological insecurity, our hope is that these conversations will equip you with boldness and assurance! Now, let’s grow deeper together
