In this solo episode, I am sharing my RAW and personal *lived* experience of being a spouse to a partner who struggled with substance abuse for the first 4 years of our relationship and how the act of choosing ME and taking sacred self-responsibility over my life and the reality I desired to experience and feel gave HIM the opportunity to MEET me where I was at. This is a story about discernment and sovereignty, not pressure or coercion and I pray babe that it feels nourishing for you to have an example that it IS possible to have a messy beginning and cracked foundation AND that it can be rebuilt creating deeper connection, intimacy and reverence for each other.
