Social Care - Is it good or what to change?
from Yes you can · host Trevor Carter
This is not my show but a good friend of mine (Chris Sterry) whom I would like you to support his very first episode show. My aim is to support other stations that are looking to change the life of others for the better. I am Chris Sterry, a family carer for my late wife's 53-year-old daughter who lives with me in Sheffield. She has learning disabilities and Autism, as well as other conditions. So this was the start of my interest in Social Care when I met my late wife some 40 years ago. As the years have gone by I have become more involved in Social Care and also health. I soon became aware that the social care on offer was nowhere sufficient and then 10 years of austerity cuts, followed by the additional costs and increased demand through COVID have put many additional stresses on the Social Care available. I have started this podcast show to share, interview special guest and speak on behalf of other carers who need a voice to be heard to see a change to the care policy. Follow me on this show and support millions of other carers within the United Kingdom by signing a petition below https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/solve-the-crisis-in-social-care
