Social Climate Changing Our Internal Doomsday Clock (1/24/24)

Yesterday, the doomsday clock was set at 90 seconds to midnight, the closest since its inception. We all have our own internal doomsday clock, too, depending on our political views. It’s really a magical thing how liberal conservationist environmental types have gone from fighting the power, resisting big corporations, protesting against chemicals and genetic engineering, and demanding we stop tampering with the earth, to supporting the power and big corporations, protesting in favor of chemicals and genetic engineering, and demanding we rip CO2, Nitrogen, etc., from the climate and soil, i.e., dismantle nature to ‘save the planet’. Meanwhile, scientists are learning new things about water that require textbooks to be rewritten - if we don’t even have all the answers to basic elements how can we think we know better than the body, nature, planet, etc.?
