Sunday, August 11 Play in the sand day can be as artistic and creative or as fun and frivolous as you like. Whether you want to have a go at creating a sandy masterpiece or you just want to fill your bucket and tip it up like you did as a kid - it's a day to celebrate the sandy stuff. Make a castle with a moat, make the ideal sandy seat complete with comfy seat and a place for your book or wait for the tide to out and have some fun writing your name and drawing on the shoreline.
