Jenny Duan is an incoming first-year at Stanford University passionate about AI ethics, mental health advocacy, and social justice movements. Originally from Portland, OR, Jenny spent most of her time in high school immersed in community projects ranging from direct service with people experiencing homelessness to science education to cultural advocacy, serving on multiple nonprofit boards and aiding legislative campaigns in her area. Also deeply involved with technology, Jenny is an alum and IA with Kode With Klossy as well as a hackathon participant and a founding team member of @Inclusively.ai, a startup that uses AI-based tools to detect biased and exclusionary language. For her work, Jenny has been recognized as a 2022 US Presidential Scholar, Generation Google Scholar, NCWiT AiC National Awardee, and more. In her free time, Jenny loves to play the piano, read, explore new ice cream places, and travel through Oregon's beautiful natural scenery.
