Social Workers to advocate for gun legislation

We as social workers and mental health professionals need to lead the way to advocate for tougher gun laws in the United States.  We can no longer have children be victims of gun violence.  We need to advocate for psychiatric evaluations to purchase guns.   Yes we have a mental health crisis in the United States, however we need Medicare and Medicaid expansion to help outpatient mental health clinics to provide services to clients and health insurance companies need to provide better reimbursement for clinicians who provide services.
