Socialism by Edwin Clyde Robbins | Marxism, Christian Socialism, Utopian Ideas & Labor Movements Audiobook Part 1

Catholic Context For a Catholic audience, the particularly interesting section is the discussion of Christian Socialism, which places socialist ideas alongside nineteenth-century Christian social movements. The book also includes material contrasting Christianity and socialism, allowing listeners to hear differing arguments rather than presenting a single theological position. Because this is a historical political work from 1915, its terminology, assumptions, and descriptions of socialist movements reflect the intellectual and political debates of that period. It is best understood as a primary-source-era survey of competing socialist traditions, rather than as a guide to contemporary political parties or modern definitions of socialism.
