On this episode, we are indulging in Japan's national beverage 🗣SAKE‼️Our selections are TYKU Cucumber, TYKU Junmai Ginjo Black, Gekkeikan Sake and Takara Plum. TYKU Cucumber, TYKU Junmai Ginjo Black and Gekkeikan Sake are all from the Junmai class. If the bottle is labeled "Junmai," it is an indication that the sake is prepared by the original and traditional method of using ONLY rice and water or rice, water and koji. Small amounts of distilled alcohol can be used in the final stages of brewing which is why Takara Plum stands apart from the other three. Traditionally, Sake was served warm, but now a days, take your pick: Kan (hot), Hiya (room-temp) or Reishu (cold). But be careful, overheating or overchilling can ruin the aroma.
