Sol vs Luna

With one heel against the wall Until the early hours Between his breath he's watching for Some movement in the shadows With his eyes pinned to her door He knows she knows He's watching her He sees the handle twitch and then Move slowly to the vertical The moon weaps Left alone for good It never seas the Sun So they can never share their dreams She takes his place so he may rest And though fatigued she's always dressed For Luna always has a strange grace For love of night and love of day He might convince her yet to stay But being apart is what she needs, what she needs Love the day and love the night The broken bonds that dim their lights To be apart is what they need A ghost released into the street The moon weaps Left alone for good It never seas the Sun It never seas the Sun He loves the nighttime She loves the day Will she to stay Through the night This time This time
