sola scriptura: scripture alone with Dr. Jordan Cooper
from The Remnant Radio's Podcast · host The Remnant Radio
sola scriptura: scripture alone with Dr. Jordan Cooper Christians ought to submit to the authority given to us by Christ, Pastors, elders, teachers, etc. But what happens when those in authority teach things contrary to the Word of God? Is there a higher court to which we can appeal? The answer is yes. The appeal is the appeal of sola scriptura. "Sola Scriptura" is a phrase that sounds foreign to western ears. In Latin, the phrase means "only Scripture" or "Scripture alone." It was one of the five Solas articulated by the Protestant Reformation. But what is the significance of this phrase? Sola Scriptura is the idea that the Bible is the final authority on what Christians believe and how we live. In this video, Dr. Jordan Cooper from the "Just & Sinner" podcast is coming on the show to help us understand the growing need for sola scriptura in our day. We will also give some biblical reasons to support Sola Scriptura and deal with some Catholic rebuttals to it. I hope you all enjoy. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Help Support The Channel through a one time gift or a monthly contribution. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?token=q_axItbrn0dkOH-ZMyaMavehY5K9b-2bTtPCCobFWDxdLztVRAjeTtilGHL9CTQNyZ0zVW&country.x=US&locale.x=US ____________________________________________________________________________________ Dr. Jordan Cooper's Youtube Channel https://www.youtube.com/user/SemperReformanda1517 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sola Scriptura Study Guide https://theremnantradio.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Scripture-Athority-and-sufficancy-.pdf Subscribe to The Remnant Radio newsletter and receive our FREE introduction to spiritual gifts eBook.
