The new Solace Cafe in Sligo has been officially opened by Minister for Mental Health Mary Butler, offering a free, confidential out of hours mental health service for adults in the Northwest.The cafe provides crisis and peer support in a non-clinical, welcoming setting.Open Thursday to Sunday evenings, the cafe has already supported over 120 individuals since it's soft launch last year, highlighting the growing demand for accessible community based mental health services.Speaking to Ocean FM News, Operations Manager Sinead Casey says the service is flexible person-centred, and ensures no waitlist for those in need of immediate support.
