Jundiaí, cujas origens colonizadoras datam de 1615 foi oficialmente reconhecida como cidade em 1865. E um de seus personagens foi Antônio de Queiroz Teles, que mais tarde se tornaria o Barão de Jundiaí. Em 1862 ele construiu um elegante solar, na época cercado por enormes fazendas de cana-de-açúcar e café. Hoje o Casarão está localizado em frente a uma praça e abriga o Museu Histórico e Cultural de Jundiaí. A construção térrea, feita de taipa de pilão, chama atenção com suas dez janelas e uma porta central, que parecem convidar a gente a voltar no tempo.
