Solar panel theft still a reality and deterring uptake of solar power

While South African home and business owners have been turning towards solar power in a bid to move away from rising electricity costs, some have been deterred from doing so due to concerns over solar panel theft. While the phenomenon isn’t entirely new, the crime has evolved over the last few years and additional precautions have been devised to counter the problem.
