Um bis zum Jahr 2045 "klimaneutral" zu werden, benötigt Deutschland so viel Solarstrom wie möglich. Es müssen Photovoltaikanlagen mit einer Leistung von rund 400 Gigawatt installiert werden. Mit unterschiedlichen Ansätzen wollen Forschende möglichst viel Solarstrom aus den Flächen herausholen, die für Photovoltaik zur Verfügung stehen.
