When he lost his wife, Marci, to cancer in 2018, he was left to navigate raising his one-year-old daughter, Blair, on his own. In his search to find resources for dealing with grief and being a solo dad, Matt reached out to other dads dealing with loss, and in 2021 he launched a podcast called The Solo Dad Podcast.
