Solomon's Story: Searching for Satisfaction

Vijay begins a new series title, 'Solomon's Story: Searching for Satisfaction'. He tells us of the events that surrounded Solomon's ascent to the throne in 1 Kings 1-2. Solomon is shrewd in consolidating power. But his shrewdness for gaining political dominance seems to come at the expense of his commitment to an obedience to the Law of God. It is this background that will inform the reflections on power that we find in the Book of Ecclesiastes.
