Riviera Sun is the author of several social protest novels, The Dandelion Insurrection, Steam Drills, Treadmills, Shooting Stars, and the award-winning Ari Ara Series. She has also authored nine theatrical plays and a book of poetry. In 2020, her novel The Lost Heir was nominated for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize. Rivera co-hosts Occupy Radio with David Sierra Lupe, and co-founded the nationwide nonviolent study and action group network, the Love-in Action Network and is the founding editor of the prize-winning Nonviolent News. After six years working as a professional playwright. Rivera Sun serves on the board of the Backbone Campaign and the advisory board of World Beyond War.
