Some Basic Halachos of Tzedakah (Hilchos Matnos Aniyim 7:1-7; 10:4-5)

Since the last two pesukim we learned were about how to relate and how not to relate to the poor, and since Mishlei was written to make Torah more accessible, we thought it would be appropriate to familiarize ourselves with some basic halachos of tzedakah. This was not intended to be a comprehensive practical halacha shiur; rather, it was intended to supply the Torah context for our pesukim in Mishlei.
