In “Some Things Must Be Cut Off,” Pastor Kevin Mugi teaches from Genesis 17:9–14, where God gives Abraham the sign of circumcision as part of His covenant. Up to this point, God has been declaring what He will do: He will establish the covenant, make Abraham fruitful, give descendants, give land, and be their God. But in verse 9, God says, “As for you,” showing that covenant relationship also requires obedience.
