Some Things Change
from Murder Over Madison · host Murder Over Madison
I sit here in the morning light, I've always found a friend in the sun's rays. I planned on sleeping in, but I guess the people in this town don't feel the same. The dust that's on the table and the microwave, suggests I've been away. (I've been away) Last night you came to see me, it had been a month since you took your things, and we parted ways. It's been the hardest thing to do, to prevent myself from you. I know you made this choice for many reasons. I know I have to let you go. A grieving heart is heavier than stone. But this feeling in my stomach, it can't persist- It hurts me in my bones. I sit here in the morning light, the North Shore in October's quite a sight. The leaves are on their way again. It amazes me, their life. It ends so bright. If Nature's taught me anything, the only way to grow is to let go. I sit here as the sun goes down, admitting to myself that some things change.
