*Sometimes I Trip On How Happy We Could Be*

from Have You Ever One-dered?? · host wheres.chloe.media

We’re back on the albums again! Part Eleven, 200-191. Finally!! YAY. Thanks tons for your patience with this one, after it had to be rescheduled from last Friday. Multi-day migraines are no joke. This week features The War On Drugs, The Velvet Underground, TLC and seven other artists to continue this massive undertaking. Hmm, who else could there be? ;) Because there’s always so much info, and of course on these episodes the handling of the albums is paramount, this is now a regular occurrence- I purposely let go of Poetry Time again, but it’s always a part of the structure of the show and I’ve shared the one I selected below for you. The poem is called View from a Bridge: _______________________________ I never thought of myself as a little universe inside a big one until just now. by Billy Collins _______________________________ - Oh it’s a major endeavor, alright. I’m going to try to listen to at least 10 albums a week for the rest of the year! Yeah, I’m not joking. Media, art, and entertainment publication Paste Magazine came out with a list of the 300 best albums and we’re going to go through them all! Well, I’m going to. And then we’re going to talk about it! Great tracks, themes, history, info, related artists, cultural context, personal experiences- they’re all going to play a part in these reviews. Totally stoked because I love music. (And a little intimidated! Because this is a lot to process) - If we keep up with an episode per week featuring 10 albums each, we’ll just about finish by the end of 2024. We’re doing this! Yay!! Thrilled you’re along for the ride. Get set for another one of these in a few days or so! C
