Sonderfolge: Wie gestaltet Ihr die Serien „Feelings“ und „Ren – The Girl with the Mark“, Jana Lämmerer und Neil Oseman?

(Foto: Timo Landsiedel) Zwei DoPs beehren uns diesmal in einer live aufgezeichneten Sonderfolge! Mit Jana Lämmerer und Neil Oseman sprach ich im Rahmen des Internationalen Webserienfestivals „Die Seriale“ auf dem Panel „Crafting Visual Worlds – Cinematography in Serial Storytelling“. Jana und Neil erzählen, was sie an den höchst unterschiedlichen Stoffen reizte, welche Rolle ihre Crewmitglieder spielten und wie sie das geringe Budget mit visuellem Leben füllten. Wie schon angekündigt, habe ich euch etwas von der „Seriale“ mitgebracht. „Die Seriale“ ist das mutmaßlich älteste Festival hierzulande für unabhängige und digitale (Web-)Serien. Ich durfte schon 2015 in der allerersten Jury sitzen und wurde 2025 nach zehn Jahren von Festivalchef Csongor Dobrotka erneut in die Hauptjury eingeladen. Zugegeben: Er hat es schon seit ein paar Jahren versucht, ich hatte leider keine Zeit. In der offiziellen Auswahl waren 2025 rund 50 Serien und Piloten aus 21 Ländern! Wow. Im Rahmenprogramm gibt es Vorträge, Keynotes und Podiumsdiskussionen über Storytelling, KI, Finanzierung und viele andere Themen. Ich durfte in diesem Jahr eine Keynote über die Zukunft von KI in den Bewegtbildmedien halten und diskutierte im Anschluss im KI-Panel mit Rechtsanwalt Guido Hettinger und Regisseur Patrick Schimanski über aktuelle KI-Fragen. Außerdem interviewte ich die für den Cinematography-Preis nominierten DoPs Jana Laemmerer („FEELINGS – Staffel 2“) und Neil Oseman („Ren: The Girl with the Mark – Staffel 2“) über die Rolle der Kinematografie bei der Gestaltung von Stimmung, Erzählrhythmus und Identität in ihren Serien. Beide Serien im Netz Jana arbeitet bei Spielfilmen und Serien für Streaming-Plattformen und Fernsehsender, studierte Kamera an der HFF München. Sie mag es „Bilder zum Leben zu erwecken, die mutig, intim und emotional geerdet sind.“ Neil ist seit über 25 Jahren als Kameramann tätig und hat zahkreiche Projekte gedreht, unter anderem mit mit Ian McKellen oder Benedict Cumberbatch.
