(Foto: Timo Landsiedel) Der Deutsche Kamerapreis 2024 ehrt Bildgestalter*innen und Editor*innen für herausragende Arbeiten in Kino, Fernsehen und Streaming. Ich sprach mit dem Geschäftsführer des Deutschen Kamerapreises Walter Demonte über die 34. Veranstaltung und ordne danach zusammen mit Film & TV Kamera Chefredakteur Uwe Agnes die diesjährige Kritik an den Nominierungen ein. Der Deutsche Kamerapreis ist hierzulande die wichtigste Auszeichnung für Kameraleute. Er wird seit 1982 vom Kuratorium Deutscher Kamerapreis verliehen. Anfangs geschah dies im zweijährigen Turnus, deshalb ist die diesjährige Veranstaltung erst die 34. Verleihung. Bildgestalter*innen und Editor*innen werden in mittlerweile 10 Kategorien ausgezeichnet, zusätzlich gibt es einen Ehrenpreis. Kritik an Nominierungen In diesem Frühjahr fanden sich auf der Liste der Nominierten keine weiblichen Kameraleute. Dies zog Kritik in den sozialen Medien nach sich. Nachdem die Jury Kino Fiktion mit Juryvorsitzendem Marcus H. Rosenmüller sich der Kritik angeschlossen hatte, taten sich auch die in diesem Jahr beim Deutschen Kamerapreis nominierten Bildgestalter*innen und Editor*innen zusammen und riefen gemeinsam mit dem Netzwerk deutschsprachiger Kamerafrauen, den Cinematographinnen, zu einem Dialog über die zukünftige Verafhrensweise auf.
