Song of Songs 8:6-14 The Lessons of Love (October 10, 2021 AM, Rev. Michael Grasso)

The Song of Songs concludes in 8:6-14 with several lessons to learn from the book as a whole. First, sexual love is strong and therefore must be confined to a covenant relationship (marriage). Second, love must be protected. We must strive for chastity both in marriage and in our relationship with God. Third, love brings contentment and joy. Nothing else is needed in life. Fourth, love looks with anticipation to being with the Beloved, namely, it looks to the coming Christ.
