Sonic Union, Forniva, Eleven Sins - The Day Before (Original Mix) - AR167

from Asymmetric Recordings · host Asymmetric Recordings

Early Support - Nick Warren, Namito, Be Svendsen, Marc Depulse, Soul Button, Petar Dundov, Arrab, Dole & Kom, Chris Fortier, Yost Koen, Mariano Mellino, Mitch Alexander, Praveen Achary, Raphael Hofman, Nicolas Rada, Mike Griego, Landikhan, Tash and many more Next up for Asymmetric comes a four track collaboration EP by Sonic Union, Forniva and Eleven Sins entitled Circus EP. The trio have worked together before and with two EP releases under their belts already are becoming a solid production team. Starting with the bongo grooves of title track ‘Circus’ the trio quickly establish a warm vibe of rubbery bass, crisp percussion and wonky FX. Ethereal vocals and whispered words float in and out growing the tension for the orchestral climax. ‘Embel Riva’ ups the pace with a drumtastic intro section. Bubbly bass front and centre, epic synth chords up the tempo even more. ‘The Day After’ is deeper and more thoughtful. Saw-toothed bass drives forward as nuanced sonics hang from the shaker-led percussive framework. Finally, ‘The Day Before’ takes a more traditional path with sparse percussion and a solid central sound design.

Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) The Elevate Within Parsha Journey Ezra Balsam Welcome to the Elevate Within Parsha series where we feature weekly Parsha revelations to ignite inner growth 🧨📈🤩Previous recordings are posted on our podcast here:https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/elevate-within-an-elul-journey/id1702861676. I hope you enjoy these audio recordings. Feel free to share with friends and enjoy!Brought to you by the creators of Mr. Nightmare. Keeping Records Headgum In 1977, NASA sent the Voyager into space with two records known as the “Golden Records.” On them were recordings of notable historic music, evocative nature sounds, and murmurs from contemporary life, all used to paint a picture of humanity and the world at large. Things have changed a lot since 1977, so Caleb Hearon and Shelby Wolstein are trying their hand at an update. They're talking with comedians, musicians, and the like about what they would include on their own “golden record” if a new one were sent today. Songs, images, films, and moments are all on the table in this comedic reflection on art, media, and culture.
