Sonoma County Legal Aid on Domestic Violence and Housing Ordinance

from Líderes del Futuro · host Rafael Vazquez

The rise in Domestic Violence during the Coronavirus is affecting many families.  Sonoma County Legal Aid is there to help with restraining orders to make sure people stay safe.  The county of Sonoma also passed a housing ordinance during the Coronavirus.  Individuals who cannot pay for their rent for a valid reason need to contact their landowner and provide evidence of why they cannot pay.  This does not mean that the rent will never have to be paid for, but when and how it will be done in the future. Veronica Posada de Leon will explain all this.
